Before you install Circumference

Before you install Circumference, it’s important to know a few things before you begin. With this theme, you get a lot of files and folders within the downloaded package that may seem confusing as to what each one is for. I recommend taking some time to explore the contents so that you will have an idea of what is included. We are also on the assumption that you have some basic understanding of how WordPress works. However, if you are new to WordPress, we recommend you check out for documentation for installing and using WordPress. You may also want to consider checking out for video tutorials about how to use WordPress. If you need help with understnading the basics of HTML and CSS, you will want to bookmark as a reference. Plugins are NOT included with this theme. We do not include these because not everyone wants to use…    read more

Celestial Reloaded updated to version 2.5.3

January 23, 2014 |

Celestial Reloaded was updated to version 2.5.3 with important updates. I’ve made some changes to the HTML snippets, as well added a couple more for the contact form, as well as the front page widgets that are seen on the live demo site with the thumbnail and content elements. The form styling was also changed to be more responsive on smaller mobile screens, so you may want to use the contact form snippet if you made a contact page like the demo site.

Create a Call to Action for the front page

This video in this series provides an overview of how to create a “Call to Action” notice on the front page of your website when using a widget based page template such as the front page of the live demo site is using. You can see this at the top of the page content, titled as “From Blogs to Business Websites” with some text below the title: Call to Action Demo Covered in this video: Introduction to the Call to Action. Getting the Call to Action snippet. Call to Action widget position. Previewing and saving your changes. Video

Encounters is updated to version 1.6.7

January 18, 2014 |

Encounters was updated to version 1.6.7 which adds a secondary main menu location for anyone wanting or needing more space for bigger menus. This one is located below the logo and above the showcase banner. I’ve also made several menu styling adjustments as well a few for the logo when viewing your site in mobile devices.

Luminescence updated to version 1.1.4

January 9, 2014 |

This is a small fix but necessary fix for the Luminescence theme. Whenever someone inserted a Featured Image into their post, it was not centering with the date circle on top of it. So if you used a small image, it was floating to the left. This is now fixed with version 1.1.4 of Luminescence and can be downloaded to replace your existing theme files.

Celestial Reloaded updated to version 2.5.2

January 9, 2014 |

Celestial Reloaded was updated to version 2.5.2 which adds a new feature to the theme option settings. Because there was always a split of showing or not showing he featured image of a post on both the intro and the full post view, I decided to add a new option. Now you can choose to show the featured image on the full post view or not by going to Appearance >> Customize >> Basic Settings, and then placing a checkmark next to Show Featured Image Full Post or uncheck it to not show.

Support for my free themes has Moved

December 24, 2013 |

With the ongoing changes and updates to my Styled Themes website, there is one item I need to inform users of my free (Lite) WordPress themes that support is no longer going to be available from this site. Not to fear because I moved support to the website; something the WordPress team loves to hear.  Why the Move? Basically it helps give users of my Lite versions a centralized point where they can download the theme(s), but also get easier access to support should they need it. It helps others who go to the WordPress site to find answers to questions they may have, where otherwise they may not have known support was located on the Styled Themes website. This change helps give them answers to questions others ask and can view them from there.

Exploring a new Styled Themes website

December 8, 2013 |

Welcome to the new Styled Themes website for 2014! At first glance, you may have noticed a few things have changed…actually a lot of things have changed, including a complete new colour scheme with softer and darker tone. Of course, this is just the visual side of things because behind the scenes, a lot of things have changed as well. Some features are new and others have simply been rebuilt from the ground up whether it’s the layout or the fact that we’ve implemented a new membership system, Styled Themes is ready to take on 2014! There will still be more to come with this site and with the ongoing popularity, more themes are planned — with one already in development to be released in January. Things that Changed As previously mentioned, a new look and style of Styled Themes was done. Although the overall design is similar to the…    read more
