Setup Tutorials for Caveat Pro

Welcome to the Caveat. These are the standard guidelines to help you install, configure, and customize your newly downloaded theme. If you have any requests for additional tutorials relating to this theme, please contact me and I will review your suggestions. These tutorials are also based on the assumption you have a basic understanding of how WordPress works.

Add Portfolio Posts

You can manage your projects under the new Portfolio menu item in the sidebar. Similar to the way you add new blog posts, you can add a new project under Portfolio → Add Project. Portfolio projects are ordered by the date they’re created, with the most recent project displayed first. Adding a Featured Image and Custom Excerpt to each project is highly recommended, as it lets theme to display your projects in a more visual manner.  And each project’s featured image is also displayed as banner background on header area of single portfolio post  

Installing Caveat Pro

Installing Caveat Pro Theme (Administration Panel) Get a copy of  Caveat Pro Theme Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel. Click on Appearance -> Themes -> Add New Click on Upload Theme button at the top and browse the downloaded zip file in your computer. Click on Install button and then Activate the theme.   Installing Caveat Pro Theme (Cpanel / ftp) Get a copy of Scripted Pro Theme Unzip the downloaded zip file. Upload the unzipped file in to /wp-content/themes/ Now, activate the theme by going to Appearance -> Themes in the wordpress dashboard. Activate the Scripted Pro and Click on “Customize” in the Appearance Menu in the Dashboard. To edit the content of theme.   Updating Theme: Since update are notified by the social media (twitter, facebook, gplus) of Styledthemes. Header and footer Menu

Here is the steps to assign menu on header and footer area: Header Menu: 1. Create the new menu    add menu on the menu area. Here you can add post , pages. custom links and Categories. YOu can take reference of this site to know more on this WordPress Menu User Guide 2. Select Theme Locations  from Menu Setting Section 3. Save the setting, now you will be able to see menu on header area   Footer Menu: 1. Create the new menu    add menu on the menu area. Here you can add post , pages. custom links and Categories. In this tutorial, we will be guiding to the page templates that Scripted Pro provides. Default Template This template is default and it shows full content along with page right sidebar. Full Width This template render the content  with no right and left sidebar. Homepage This template shows different dynamic section which can be control from theme customizer.  Page with left sidebar This template render the content with left sidebar Portfolio This Templates Displays all the posts posted under portfolio posty type. Portfolio (Shortable) This Templates Displays all the posts posted under portfolio posty type with shortable according to the  Terms they are posted in.
