Setup Tutorials for Corporate Portfolio Pro

Welcome to the Corporate Portfolio Pro. These are the standard guidelines to help you install, configure, and customize your newly downloaded theme. If you have any requests for additional tutorials relating to this theme, please contact me and I will review your suggestions. These tutorials are also based on the assumption you have a basic understanding of how WordPress works.

Add Portfolio Posts

You can manage your projects under the new Portfolio menu item in the sidebar. Similar to the way you add new blog posts, you can add a new project under Portfolio → Add Project. Portfolio projects are ordered by the date they’re created, with the most recent project displayed first. Adding a Featured Image and Custom Excerpt to each project is highly recommended, as it lets theme to display your projects in a more visual manner.  And each project’s featured image is also displayed as banner background on header area of single portfolio post  

Setting up your Homepage

First thing to do is create a new page and give it the name Welcome or Homepage, just something memorable to you, the value wont be displayed. You should leave the content in the editor blank. Select the page template ‘Homepage‘ from the dropdown on the right and publish the page.    Now you can go to dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize – Home page section On Homepage section you can find following section.  You can either leave them blank or check the box to hide them if you dont want them to display. Billboard Section – This section display  the content at the header area just  below navigation menu:          Portfolio Slider Section: This section display portfolio featured image as a slider:     Text Columns Section – This section display content just below the Banner area:      

Header and footer Menu

Here is the steps to assign menu on header and footer area: Header Menu: 1. Create the new menu    add menu on the menu area. Here you can add post , pages. custom links and Categories. YOu can take reference of this site to know more on this WordPress Menu User Guide 2. Select Theme Locations  from Menu Setting Section 3. Save the setting, now you will be able to see menu on header area   Footer Menu: 1. Create the new menu    add menu on the menu area. Here you can add post , pages. custom links and Categories. Site Title & Logo

How to show site text as site title Step 1 : Go to Dashboard(admin section) and Navigate to  Appereance > Customizer > Site identity Step 2: Change the site title here to show the site title. How to show site logo as site title Step 1 : Go to Dashboard(admin section) and Navigate to  Appereance > Customizer >Site identity -> Logo Step 2: Upload the image by clicking on  Select Logo button How to change favicon of the site Step 1 : Go to Dashboard(admin section) and Navigate to  Appereance > Customizer > Site identity -> Site icon section  Step 2: Upload the image by clicking on  Select Image button        

Page Templates

In this tutorial, we will be guiding to the page templates that Scripted Pro provides. Default Template This template is default and it shows full content along with page right sidebar. Full Width This template render the content  with no right and left sidebar. Homepage This template shows different dynamic section which can be control from theme customizer.  Page with left sidebar This template render the content with left sidebar Portfolio This Templates Displays all the posts posted under portfolio posty type. Portfolio (Shortable) This Templates Displays all the posts posted under portfolio posty type with shortable according to the  Terms they are posted in.
