Dear Miranda Graat,

For now we do not have any setting to change inner background color of sidebar. We will soon implement this on latest version. But we do have featured on customizer to change color for changing background color of whole sidebar. You can find this on the following directory:

Go to dashboard -> appearance -> customize -> colors -> sidebar background .-> Change the color as per your requirement.
