Thanks for the quick response. No, I get it about the header area. I was originally using it just as you intended. But when I use a simple text widget it didn’t work either. Then I removed the widget and tried using the WP Header and noticed it only a short area….
….ahhh, as with most technical problem when I try to demonstrate my problem it suddenly starts working! Sort of…now the image works in the widget, but is huge. The image I uploaded is 1920 x 500. It’s displaying wider than the site.
Regarding the WidgetKit, I know this is way outside your support services, but just trying to create a slide show I get these errors:

I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled, that didn’t work. Possibly something else went wrong. Like I said, haven’t spent a ton of time digging into this problem yet.
And as for your “design learning experience”– your designs are awesome!
