@Jeremy – You should only edit the files of child theme not of parent theme.

@Prisca – I hope your cache problem is not troubling you at the moment. I forgot to reply you last time about your question. Using cache plugin is good as it can lower the page serving time and server overhead in WordPress but make sure the right checkbox are checked as I’ve seen many plugin are not compatible with all the features of the cache plugin.
