I’m joining in the trend to remove page titles and am having some trouble. While working on my test site, I used the first bit of code you shared in post #1595 in this thread https://www.styledthemes.com/forum?view=topic&catid=10&id=343#1609 to remove page titles from all pages. It worked perfectly. However, when I tried it on my main site, nothing happened. I ended up using the second bit of code in that thread, which worked. However, since it was an alteration to the main theme, and not the child, I imagine I’ll run into issues if/when the theme gets an update. Any suggestions other than what you’ve already posted to add code to the child theme to remove the page titles?
OK, wait….I just discovered that when viewing the page in Chrome, the page titles are gone. When viewing it in IE, they are still there (only on my main page though…they don’t show up on either browser for my test site). ??
You will need to clear your IE browser cache then….as for the code and using a child theme, yes you will lose your modification if you update the theme but if using a child theme, you won’t lose your modifications because they exist in the child theme’s own style.css file.
Yeah…I added the code to the child theme. I’ll clear my cache and see if that helps.
