    Hi,
    Not sure if is something I have done?
    I can enable comments onto pages by ticking the comments field but this does not work on any post?

    Any ideas what I have done or how to enable comments on posts

    Test site is http://www.geniusloci.co.uk/genius

    I am using the encounters child theme (I am a pro subscriber)

    It seems that my latest test post has posted under blog / portfolio the other two posts under blog are allowing posts?

    Yep – being under the portfolio directory was causing it. Disconnected the category form being a subset of the portfolio and comments are now available.
    The amount of time I post things here and then minutes later work it out myself!
