Can not set Home page at Static page

When I set the home page as my static page it will not load my website. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas why that it. I am thinking about picking a different theme from a different vendor, though i like the look of this theme.

Hello Melissa,

It might be the plugin conflict that is crashing your site. Try checking by deactivating and reactivating if you have use any third party plugin/s one by one.
Have you altered any theme files?
Also check by switching to standard wordpress theme like twentyseventeen.

So the only way I can reset this is if I remove it and reinstall it, then I can get it to work. But If I have to do that after each and every plugin I am going to waist a lot of time. Is this theme really that hard to work with? I was hoping it was something that I could actually fix not have to reinstall every time. What is your best suggestion?

Hello Melissa,

Plugin conflicts are one among the common issue user face with wordpress themes. So in that case you have to check it individually if you have used any third party plugins besides the recommended ones.
Also have you tried switching temporarily to standard wordpress theme and checked if the problem still occurs?
These are the basic fixes you need to do. If the problem doesnot resolve even after then we need to check your backend hence let us know.
