Can’t change background color!

I’m trying to change the background color in my customization panel, and have changed it to Body Background #FFFFFF. It’s not working – it still shows up the dark gray color. How can I change this?

Also, if I upload a new background, the dark gray still shows up below my new image.

It’s not live yet, but when it is, I will. The only workaround is making the BG image HUGE, to cover everything that someone could potentially see.
