ParticipantHi,
I’ve just tried to switch a site’s theme from Circumference to Flat Responsive but was told when I went to install the child theme that the Parent was missing (it is not, it is the active theme). I had this problem with Flat Responsive before (then when I asked for help you took my login details and solved it so I don’t know what you did to fix it). I’ve now renewed my subscription and downloaded the latest version of the theme in the hope that it would solve the problem. It hasn’t (please see attached). Please let me know how I can fix this problem.
Thanks,
JohnPS Although this time I am trying to use the theme on an existing site, previously the problem occurred on a clean new WP installation

ParticipantHi Binya,
Thanks for your reply. You will need to enter login details to get to the wp-login, they are:
Username: won1derfuliriguchi941
Password: time2get2work!nowThen the wp-admin login details are:
Username: BEXadmin-1221itis
Password: (More!Excellence4all1221!again)Please note, although the site is almost ready for migration, there is still some work to be done (changing html referenced from “cir-” to “fr-” for example) before we want to activate Flat Responsive so please once you have fixed the issue, leave the Circumference Child active as the site is live. Also please do let me know what the problem is so that I can fix it myself in future (I’ve hit it twice now in 6 months and only with FR).
Thanks and bye for now,
John-

ParticipantHi Binya,
Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried and I’m not able to …it reports “Deletion failed: The requested theme does not exist” even though it displays as still there.
Thanks,

ParticipantHello again,
I’m about to signoff for the day so I’ve deleted the theme via FTP in case that enables a solution to be implemented.
Thanks again and bye for now,

ParticipantHi Binaya,
I’ve checked and it works, thanks. Can you please let me know what the issue was and how I can rectify it when I hit it again (i’ve hit it twice now on different sites about 6 months apart and only with this theme).
Thanks again,

ParticipantHi John,
It seems that there is some error while you install the theme, so we just upload the latest version of themes by our-self and it works perfectly. That’s all we have done.
Thanks

ParticipantHi Binya,
I’ve taken a look at it appears that the issue might be in the path. The directory name the child theme in is now called:
“child-flat-responsive”..but the name it’s given when I installed from the download was: “flat-responsive-child”
Bye for now,
