    Hello,

How do I direct the Send button on my contact page to email me (ie personal email)? I have manage to insert the ‘name’, ’email’, and ‘subject’ – but am a little confused how to set up the text/code to send me the email. ie. Someone fills in all the details – then clicks send. But it does not go anywhere at the moment.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
You can use contact form setup to do that.

    Thanks.

    Hello,
I am still having problems with connecting the send button. I have cut/paste the snippet into the contact form 7 – and I have tried to add in a few extra things into the lines (ie Name, Email, and Subject). However, when I am on the live version of the website and I fill it out and click the send button – nothing happens – it does not link/send it to my email ([email protected]).
I think I must be missing a step or link here. Do I have to fill out “Generate Tag” on the right side of the contact form 7 page? How do I get it connected to send me an email once someone clicks on the “SEND” button?
    Cheers,
    Jeff

    Hello Jeff,
Yes you need to generate those tags for each one and put in the place

    [your generated tag]

as well as in the Message body section of the mail as :-
Message : your generated tag name

So you could receive the mail.

Do have a question if you have any?

    Thanks.

Good stuff…..I thought I was missing a step in there. Great….I have it sending now.

However, I do I place some text beside the icons now – I can not seem to get it right – without making extra rows?

This is my code – without “Name” in it (and this works)

    [textarea Name 125×1 id:Name]

With “Name” – but without the generated tag – this does not work – but I realize that it does not have the tags in

Also is there a trick for getting the message to come up “Your message was sent successfully. Thanks.” – I have it in the File Attachment area – but id does not seem to come up. I am hoping a message would pop up – just to let people know their email/request has been sent.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
You need to generate tag for each item in contact form so the field is not working you need to use shortcode for that.
and to give success message when you submit you have the ability to choose it from the message section of contact form.

    Thanks.
