    Hey,

I was just wondering what the best way to go about editing the 404 page would be. The current one, whilst fine as a basic start isn’t that great for SEO or directing traffic to relevant pages. I’d love to be able to edit it, however I noticed that there isn’t a way to edit it under the child theme, only the parent. Which means that whenever the theme is updated, I will have to copy over the custom code?

So, I guess what I am asking is, is there any chance that at some point you would be able to include something in the theme that allows you to easily customise the 404 copy and content? Or, if this already exists, please can you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

If you are using the child theme, you would simply copy the 404.php and put that into your child theme…then make your custom changes there. Have you tried this but it’s not working?
