MemberHi, I have been able to use a lot of the preference theme features. So far I was very happy. When I wanted to show my website to a friend, I found out that the titles and text in the slider that I put in the showcase header on my frontpage are not responsive 🙁 Because they don’t adjust in size they remain big and prevent a good view of the site on anything other than my laptop. How can I fix this? Please help!

ModeratorHi Jennifer… there is some resizing setup, but what I will do is put the theme on a test site and fix whatever needs to be fixed. If you do not hear from me in the next 8 hours or so, post another message or contact me.

ParticipantHi,
I was about to post the same thing. I notice that is also happens on the Preference Demo.
Is there away of selecting a non mobile version of the site, especially for iPad users? Thanks
Phil

ModeratorHi Phil…. I found the problem that doesn’t resize the slide captions and titles, so I will be fixing this in the next couple of hours as an update to the theme. The theme’s stylesheet just needs some extra adjustments for the sizes of text at different mobile dimensions, so this will be fairly easy to solve. Should take me a couple hours to do this, test it and then upload the update.

ModeratorOk everyone…. I think I fixed the text caption sizes on various mobile devices. I tried this on my live demo site http://demo.styledthemes.com/preference/ and I tested it in this http://mattkersley.com/responsive/
I also just tried this on my iphone and looks good, but let me know how it works for you. If all works well for everyone, I will update the “preference” template for the widgetkit slideshow in the download package.

ModeratorIt’s done… just uploaded the Preference Package update. The only thing to know is that the Preference theme itself has not been updated, but the “preference” template in the “extras” folder of the download for widgetkit >> slideshow >> preference …is the part that was updated. So when you download the theme package, you just need to replace the existing “preference” template in the widgetkit plugins folder.

ModeratorAwesome…I am happy to hear everyone now has it working and looking great. My next theme I am making, I will ensure this is tested thoroughly for the slider text.
Cheers! :cheer: -
