    Hi, I was excited to see your FB post on creating excerpt length. I dont see code for this in the files–could you point me in the direction for doing this?

    Absolutely… if you are using the excerpt style for the blog, on the Theme Options (the Customizer) Basic Settings tab, you will find the excerpt length setting. Was this what you were looking for?

    Thanks so much for your quick response!

    Yes that is what I’m looking for–but I don’t see it under Basic Settings. I checked and I haven’t missed an update to Encounters so not sure what it doesn’t appear for me. Is there another place to look? I have a screen shot of the navigation:

    Depends on your version of Encounters, as this feature was recently added. So you may want to double check and update your theme (always make a backup copy of course before doing this). It should be second on the Basic Settings tab:

    1. Content or Excerpt
    2. Excerpt Length

    This was added in version 1.5.6 (although now Encounters is 1.5.7).
