Feature Images

When I add the feature image to a post all is fine until I go to the post itself, then it doesn’t appear in the post content – not too much of an issue and is expected in away. But I want the image in the post as well, and if I add it to the posts content it then shows up twice in the blog page that previews the posts.

Is there a way to always have the feature image in a posts content and not just the summary/blog page?

Hi RICHARD ASQUITH,

Yeah sure Richard , you can place featured image on single post. For this you need to do some customization on content-single.php template placing on child theme.
You can simple add this function on place where you want to display

Note: Please use child theme for customizing the template , otherwise your changes will lost on theme update. And also proceed this steps only if you are technically sound on WordPress

Thanks – worked straight away

for others wanting the same, find your content-single.php

I wanted to place the image at the top (above content)

the (150, 100) keeps my images rectangles instead of squares (for squares delete the numbers)
