footer changes

Hi, just wondering if you said let me know how to add my name to the bottom of the footer under the copyright part. I know that I would have to put it in the CSS styles on the child theme, but cannot figure out how to word it.

Was it an email I sent with info? Anyway it will be the footer.php file you put into the child theme then add your info below the copyright code in the file, but won’t be in the style.css. In the footer.php file, your info would go below this:

Thanks Andre, I have put it in, but I think I have put it into the parent theme. I have the child theme installed and activated but when I click on the select themes to edit, I click Encounter Child theme, there is only the style.css in it. It also gave me a warning at the bottom to say it was the parent theme. I also looked through the ftp files to see if the footer.php was in there under the child theme, but I couldn’t see. What am I doing wrong?

you will have to log in with an FTP program or use your web host File Manager to do this because you need to upload a copy of the footer.php file from the parent theme and then put it into the child theme that is active.

Thanks for that explanation. Sometimes things take a little while to sink in. Just about finished the site so thanks for your support and once again the beautiful template.

You’re very welcome…. and sometimes I don’t always explain things clearly, but this is also one of the reasons I’m starting to do videos for my theme setups; especially after the Encounters videos, I realized I did my videos with a mic that was not functioning so the audio is hard to hear, haha. I will have to redo them at some point, but the Celestial Reloaded ones are much better now that I fixed the audio.
