Front page group

Hi

I recentlly purchased the Encounters theme and I’m slowly getting my head around it!

I notice that a tutorial video mentions a ‘front page group’ file. This was missing from my archive
– please can I get a copy from somewhere?

I’m guessing you are referring to the 4 boxes on the front page of the demo site? I will give you the code for the first box that you can replicate for each:

Encounters is simply great in every way possible. Whether you are running a blog or a professional business website, you will look absolutely stunning!

Put that into a text widget then publish it to the Top 1, 2, 3, and or 4 positions. To hide the widget title, install a plugin called Remove Widget Titles. Then, when you do your widget, put an exclamation mark ! right before the title. This hides it from the front-end.

Hi Kevin,

I also have the latest version of Encounters. I believe this is called the box-image-group.txt and it’s in the “Extras” folder.
