Hi Support,
I am working on the site and have added the right sized header image as the theme states, but it does not show. Instead a black top section show. http://www.mccordwebservices.com/wmccord/ What should be visible is a blacked out city scene similar to the demo.
Additionally just below the header section I have a weird “HOME” text appears the font is white, but when you wiggle your mouse under the black banner section, you will see a funny “home” word highlighted.
Please help.
Whoops forgot to mark to notify me of updates to this page. I am thinking that I may need a refund on my theme purchase.
hello Nancy,
Did you add the image as the “Featured Image” to the page that is set as your Front page?
Take a look at this and add it to your page similarly and save the page http://prntscr.com/fnwprc
In your footer where you see the “weird HOME” text – that should display your footer menu but I think you arranged the menu items in the wrong structure.
It’s easy to fix though so no worries:
Have a look at this screenshot: http://prntscr.com/fnwnwu
You need to add the menu items that you want displaying underneath each other as subitems (drag them a little bit to the right) and it should solve he display issue.
regards
Imre
Hi Imre,
Here is the link after we added a new vivid color building image for the home page section like the demo. The instructions did not say to put this image in the Feature image of the Home page, but we just did. We also put it in the appearance section under header background image too.
You can see from the link, that the image is now in, but too dark. We have set all colors for header to transparent.

Yes thank you on the info on the footer nav. That is not fixed with dummy content and okay.
So we still need help making the header image more visible.
Hi Nancy,
Please add this custom css on child theme style.css or addidtional css section of customizer to make header image more visible:
body #header .masthead {
opacity:0.1
}
Note: Please change opacity value as per you requirement.
Thanks
