What image file types are compatible with headers?

I believe you should be ok with:

1. jpg
2. png
3. gif

I’ve been trying to load a gif image, and I can’t get it to show for some reason.

Generally the file types will be a WordPress thing, so you may want to do a quick search on Google or in the WordPress.org forums to see if anyone has experienced issues with .gif formats.
