Help for size of my widget banner image !

Hi ! I have buy the theme pure & simple since 3 month ago.

Everithing is all right but i surch how can i have the widget banner image on full screen ! Because my image can not take all the place, i have two bars black on the right and left side. That is a little bit bad for my website because the background is white.
Do you know if it is possible to have this bars in white even if it is not possible to have the image on full scree ?

Now i must have the website on Smaller Width 1500px . But with a smartphone i have a little bar on the top and it is not really beautiful.
