Help improve CSS to speed up website opening

Hi there, thank you for your past effort in help with the website http://www.wsw-china.com, it’s almost done.

Now we are trying to test the website opening speed via http://www.webpagetest.org.
The result show that there are one css named
http://www.wsw-china.com/wp-content/themes/circumference/css/cir-snippets.css?ver=1.0.0
is taking much time to load, and this delay a lot for the whole website opening.
I attached a few photos for the test result, is it clear for you, how can we improve that ?

I have extended the membership, up to now we are very satisfied with your design and excellent service.

The site looks great.

What version of Circumference are you using? It appears you need to update that should dramatically decrease your css. Plus, the snippets.css file is no longer part of the theme.

I am now trying to follow up your advise and update the circumference theme into 1.0.4.
So we no need to update Circumference Child ? I note there are circumference child folder in your package.

Also we can not update the theme, like we install a new theme from first beginning, right ?

You’re very welcome…. you won’t have to update the child theme if you are using that; just update the parent theme of Circumference. However, if you made modifications to the actual Circumference theme and it’s style.css, then it won’t be easy to update. If you did not make any changes to theme or it’s style.css file, then you would download the updated version, unzip it, but also unzip the circumference.zip (the actual theme) to your desktop and using FTP, you would upload and replace the “circumference” theme folder with the new one (the one with the theme files in it such as the style.css file).

IMPORTANT: Make sure you create a backup before updating; always best to play safe. In fact, I strongly recommend you have a backup plugin to make regular backups of your site…especially when updating WordPress and plugins, because as I said, it’s best to play safe whenever you update something…not just a theme.

Thank you very much. I do follow up your advise and update the theme. So now my circumference is 1.0.4.
I retry testing website opening speed via http://www.webpagetest.org but unfortunately to tell,now it looks more slowly
to open. Sorry about this. Attached is the screen cut from test result. you will see this file still take much time to run:

I am very curious and tried to find this file from folder but actually there is no this file any.
So do you know how to fix this problem ? Thank you in advance.

I noticed you have a plugin running to minify the CSS….did you clear the cache for it and regenerate it?
