Home Page Formatting Help Needed

Hi guys

I’m a WP newbie and I need some help with the Circumference Theme, I’ve installed the site successfully but I’d like to modify the Home Page and need some advice.

1 – I’d like to add contact information to the header to fill in some of the white ‘gap’ in the header
How would I go about coding this?

2 – I want to have 2 rows of 3 media boxes, which I have on the site but they are not aligned

Hi Dawn,
Problem 1:
You can go to header.php file and add your data to line No.87 for adding information below the navmenu.
Problem 2:
There are widgets to do so. You don’t need to code them 🙂 You can use top widgets to put media boxes there. If you want 3 Media boxes then add data to Top1, Top2 and Top3 Widgets. Thank-you for your help, I’ve added the text to the header, however I’ve never used Widgets before – is there no way I can adjust the home page code to get these to align?

Hi Dawn,
Yes there is way to adjust the home page code to get that align. But we highly recommend you to use widgets because, the page that you are editing (HOME PAGE TEMPLATE) is used on various pages and affect it all after editing it. If you have never worked with widgets i have provided a link that can be useful for you. Please find a time as working in widget will make you text editing easy in future case too. 🙂

Unfortunately the video doesn’t help me with what I need to do, please can I have instructions on how to align the home page boxes.

Please could you tell me how I add a Search Box to the header area.

Hi Dawn,
Could you sent us the url of the project that you are working, so we could figure out why the home page boxes are not aligned.
To add a search box to a header area you need to add a tag in the header.php file. where you want to add a search form.
