MemberHello,
My client viewed the homepage on a laptop and it was fine but when she viewed it on her mac the padding for the homepage columns was wrong. Please let me know how this can be fixed. Thanks.

Moderatorunfortunately I do not see it….send it to me via Email Support or if you have a link to the site, that would work better.

ModeratorOK, I think I know what it might be….in the code for each widget you put the content and image in, remove the container that wraps the image with this class “imageframe” so that you just have the image tag but this time, add the imageframe class to it. Like this sample from my live demo:
See if that works. If not, can you paste your code from one of those widgets in the forum here? When you paste it, highlight the code and click on the editor button code display so that it wraps it in a container like my code above.
NOTE: I just noticed you posted this in the “Celestial” forum category. is this the older Celestial theme or Celestial Reloaded?

Before setting up private practice, Ms. Solovyova worked at several leading immigration and civil rights firms.I tried replacing the <div class="imageframe" with <img class="imageframe" and the page got completely distorted. I am not sure if that was correct. The issue is not yet corrected. Thank you for your assistance. 🙂

ModeratorDistorted tells me it became a broken layout…. when you removed the div did you also remove the closing part as well? You also had some code backwards…you had an opening

Technically the code should be working because it’s basic HTML and CSS. Also, it’s not really OS (operating system) related, it’ll be the browser she is using. If she is on an older version of Safari that needs updating or some other kind of browser that is not up to date, this could be the problem. Ask her if she could try another browser on her MAC like Chrome or Firefox if she has it and see what happens.

ModeratorAlso double check the code in the widgets for each one because it could be a simple thing such as code missing a quote mark or an opening or closing tag, or just out of place (such as the
and you had. Some browsers are very forgiving on things like that while others are not.
UPDATE: I”m also thinking of another possible solution. Make the thumbnails at 370px in width, or just under perhaps 360px.

MemberI entered the code you supplied and here is the screen shoot of the page. I am baffled as to how this can be fixed. Is there a way to get the banner added to a page and I can use a plugin to duplicate the 3 columns rather than the widgets?
June 11, 2014 at 7:33 am #20081Rachel
MemberI will try that. thanks
