I currently have a widget kit slideshow in the Banner Wide (for just the front page via Jetpack) on our site (www.openable.org). I would like to change it to have the slideshow take up about 2/3 or the screen and then have text in the remaining third (what is currently the Welcome text, probably). When I simply resize the width of the slideshow and add a text widget, the text appear underneath the slideshow. What is the trick that I am missing?

Oops – missing the “t” in Open Table – the link should be http://www.openable.org.

The question I have is whether or not it is possible to have multiple widgets side-by-side in the Banner. In particular, I would like to include a slideshow in the left 2/3 of the banner and some welcome text in the right 1/3. I, obviously could do this by including the welcome text in the image that is in the slideshow. But 1) I would have to copy it onto all of the images that I include in the slideshow, and 2) it would much harder to update/maintain. When I simply add a second widget to the banner, it is always played below the slideshow (or whatever widget is first).

I’ve attached two files. The first is a sample of the current screen. The second is a mock up of what I am hoping to do (different text would be in the banner – this was just easy to copy in Photoshop).

Darn spell check – it seems to have removed the “t” again. That is http://www.opentable.org. Got it this time!

And here is a screen shot when I create the slideshow with 2/3 width and add a second Enhanced Text widget to the banner.

    Hi There,

If you need the banner width 2/3 (eg: like Top1 – Top3), then you should customize the theme, so you need to concern with the near by developer( theme) or you can buy the customization package which is only $35 per hours. We hope this will be helpful to you, if not then please let us know.

    Thanks
