Hi, what would you recommend for making a newsletter/maillist from your website?

I have read that mailchimp messed up the bottom navigation, and I don’t want to take that risk.
On the other hand I read that mailchimp is rather easy to use, and the costs are low.

Which theme are you using? I will add a mailchimp plugin and see what happens. Where would you be putting the widget?

    I am using Encounters.

And I think my blog page would be the place to put the widget on.

I am trying to get in higher ranks on google 🙂 and on what I have been reading it helps if there is a lot of activity on your page.
So sending my blog as a newsletter, weekly/monthly could help.

Maybe a nice topic to add to your support: how to get your page high in searchpages.

I read that it helps to add chapterheads. Name your pictures with searchwords.
Haha, so adjusting everything in the hope to be found.

    Other suggetstions are also welcome.
But you have been very helpfull already on all my questions.
I didn’t find a reference page, but I am very content with Styled themes.

I took a guess that you were using Encounters and installed this plugin:

Seemed to work and didn’t break any layout or anything, plus I see this one lets you customize style the form(s) too which is great. I know many people use mailchimp, so I just might add some bonus styling for the sign up form for this one plugin. Looks like it’s popular and has good reviews.

Getting into SEO stuff is a BIG topic…but generally keep content fresh and related to the site and pages, use keywords in your headings, content, link titles and anchor text, ALT tags on your images, etc. Try not to link to other sites too much unless they are popular sites and have high positioning themselves. Being active on social networks such as Twitter, facebook, and others definitely helps.
