Hi, I’d like to change the width of the margins for the main text blocks – I’d like for there to be more space on either side of the text blocks.
    Where/how do I do this?
    Thanks,
    Jocelyn 🙂

Just to confirm what you want to do…you want to have more space on either side of the main content area?

As a side note, I moved this to the Celestial forum category because it was in the “Suggestions” forum category.

    Oh, thanks for catching that!

Yes, I’d like to have more space (wider margins), on either side of the main content area, so that when reading, the eye doesn’t have to travel as far across the page before the next line. I’ve added photos on either side of the text on my home page, as a temporary solution to squeeze the text in , but would love to know how to make this adjustment in general – really to be able to adjust it in either direction.
    Thanks!

Thanks for the clarification…all I can say is YIKES! :S

Long technical story short, you won’t be able to.

These themes use a predefined layout structure which is part of the responsive functionality of the theme. The only way of doing this would be to redo the size attributes of the Bootstrap structure (CSS) for shorter (in width) containers. The layout is designed to accommodate very large monitors, down to a mobile phone.

O.k., I wondered about that. Thanks for explaining. 🙂
