New Installation of Luminescence looks offset

kidswaternews.com – my install looks weird. I did not edit any css – just installed the theme and it looks funny.

Did you make any theme file changes? I noticed your main content part is using the wrong span class of span9 when it should be span8 (by default). This is why the sidebar column is below.

Sorry…just realized you said you made no changes. I just checked the files and that span9 shows nowhere. Not sure how that got into your site. Download the theme again and unzip the actual theme and replace the parent theme files with the newly unzipped files and see if that fixes it.

when i load the parent theme it is fixed, but when I load the child theme thats when it gets messed up.

I deleted the child theme and re installed it – but it is still messed up. I left the child theme on so you can check it out.

ah…a big oops on my part. As soon as you mentioned child theme, I had an assumption and then checked. Sure enough, I must have included a test version where I had an index.php file in it. Delete the index.php file in the child theme.

I will have to do an update to the theme where this is taken out. Sorry about that.
