ParticipantHello
I installed woocommerce – pasted the page.php to woocommerce.php (keeping the original page.php of course) – I have display widgets – dynamic widgets..anyway I think I have about everything I need but for some reason no widgets on any pages of woocommerce. Widgets work fine on all other pages.
The problem here is that none of the woocommerce pages have the option “template” on the right.
Is there a way to add (on the right of pages) the “Template” dropdown so I can choose for page right column?
Thank you for your help 🙂

ParticipantRectification: I can have the widgets on all woocommerce pages where I have the “template” option but NOT on products pages.
Sorry – need “template” on all product pages.
Thank you again 🙂

ModeratorI’m guessing things are ok then?
As a side note, I am going to start making my themes WooCommerce ready and will probably start with the Celestial Reloaded theme.September 30, 2013 at 3:44 am #18364Prisca
ParticipantWow..GREAT NEWS!!!
Nope – not all ok – I still don’t have widgets on the products pages because I have no option “template”. Is there a little code I could put somewhere in teh woocommerce files so the “template” dropdown would show so I can choose page with right side?
Thanks again 🙂

ParticipantWell..bad news – I set up all pages of woocommerce (but products) with the page with right sidebar and for some reason the sidebar is not showing.
Thanks 🙂

ModeratorI did this for someone else yesterday for the Preference theme but the Celestial reloaded one is a little bit more tricky because I will have to edit each page template to add a new container so that the woocommerce scripting will find it. I won’t be able to do this update until hopefully tomorrow if you don’t mind waiting. I just made a note to add this to my list of to-do’s tomorrow.

ParticipantTomorrow would be fantastic!!!
Just make sure I understand everything – like where to put this and that or where to upload new files etc..written for dummies..ha..
Thank you so much 🙂

Moderatorok… cross fingers, lol. I did an update to Celestial Reloaded, and one of the items I added is support for WooCommerce. Now the bad news is that you only get a right sidebar layout for your WooCommerce because to apply this plugin to all the other templates, I would have had to recreate them from scratch. However, the good news is that this update does include a special woocommerce.php file for your layout (with the sidebar). Let me know how things go when you update.
- Start by downloading the theme again
- Unzip the package to your desktop, but also do the theme inside it as well celestial.zip
- Use your FTP program like filezilla (or whatever you use), or use your host’s file manager to log into where your WordPress site is located
- I would recommend downloading your “celestial” theme to your computer as a backup copy for safe keeping
- Either delete the theme folder named “celestial” which is located in /wp-content/themes/ then upload the new unzipped celestial theme folder version. Or you can simply manually upload the new theme files to replace the existing ones in the “celestial” folder. This will overwrite the current ones.
Basically you will be uploading the new theme files to replace the current version of Celestial. Again, the location where your theme files are on your website host is here:
/wp-content/themes/celestial/
The celestial folder there is where your theme files are located.
Fun isn’t it! 🙂

ModeratorNah…never feel that way, it’s an honest answer because many don’t know this which means I need to make it easier to find and know how.
If you purchased the theme on it’s own (single purchase), then the original link you got in the email is the one you use again for updates – the one where a message says do not lose this download link
If you purchased a theme membership or upgraded your support to a theme membership, then you can click on the “Download” link on the main menu.

ParticipantI did purchase a theme membership but I don’t have a download link and I can’t find the email you are talking above either..sorry 😉

ModeratorI sent an email follow up. I had to reassign the membership to your user account.
