I would like to create a page with caption heading as seen in the demo here: http://demo.styledthemes.com/?theme=Pure%20Simple

How do I make that happen?

    Many thanks,

    Hi Kelly,

Do you mean to say this caption heading called “WELCOME to PURE & SIMPLE” ? That is not the page title , actually that is coming from call to action widget areas. For this you can place text widgets areas and can provide text title and content on text widget areas.

And also you can select widgets to display on particular page using jetpack widgets visibility module. Here is the article for the same:
    https://www.styledthemes.com/flat-responsive-setup/378-how-to-show-widgets-on-selected-pages-only

    https://jetpack.me/support/widget-visibility/

Another option will be customizing content-page.php template of child theme. then you can design as per your requirement.

Note: Please use child theme to customize parent page template so you changes will not lost on them update. And if you are techniclly sound on wordpress than only proceed for the second option.

Let us know if you are iunderstanding fully or perhaps this not what you meant for.

    Thanks

Thank you for the information. It’s not the call to action (For some reason when I copy and paste the link it only takes you to the home page of the demo site). If you go to “Pages” on the menu. There is a menu option “Page w/Header Caption”. The part under the menu that says:

    “This is my Caption Heading
Proin euismod convallis congue. Curabitur lobortis malesuada suscipit.
Phasellus accumsan pharetra justo, nec iaculis diam congue sed.”

I want to add Caption Headings to some of my pages.

Hi Kelly, we had fixed your issue, please have a look on your site.
Here is the process for the same

for this you need to use page/post custom field. On the custom field section of you pages you need to place following name on custom fields:
For header background you need to name custom field as

    header_background

For header caption you need to name custom field as

    header_caption

And your need to place your value correspondingly. On the value field of header_background you need to place URL of image and on header_caption you need to place content.

if you don’t want to place image on caption background you can use color as background ./ For this you can set background color from customizer. For this

    Go to dasboard->appearance->customize->colours->Caption Header Background

Note: To use color as background you should remove custom fields: header_background

We hope this clarifies your queries, you can also see screnshot that may help you.

    Thanks
