    Hi there

I would like to add a page where I would put my videos, with a picture link… ie youtube videos. I know I can add a url link to a page, but would like it to look like a porfolio, but it would have the ‘movie’ look and would have videos instead.

    is this possible?

Also– I have a few other special things.. that are complicated for me. Do you have help that i can pay for to enhance my site so I don’t have to spend so much time trying to learn all this.

    Thanks

Anything is possible when someone wants to create something different, but it will also depend on the coding abilities of the person. The Encounters theme does have a basic portfolio layout that can be used because all it really is, is a blog category with posts. You can insert a featured image and then when the person goes to that page, you can have your video. Your other option though is to find a WordPress plugin that is developed for video galleries or portfolios. For example, I just did a quick look and found this one: http://wordpress.org/plugins/contus-video-gallery/ and this one http://wordpress.org/plugins/all-video-gallery/ and this http://wordpress.org/plugins/nimble-portfolio/ , and this one look good http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-media-gallery/ ….there’s more and different styles too.

As for your other question…I replied to your email, but it really depends on my available schedule and type of needs. At the moment though, my schedule is really tight, other than providing support and development of my next theme.

Thanks – I’ll check them out.
On the portfolio page… I thought that might be a good way,but it seemed it only took pictures and not URL. Maybe I missed a way to put the url.

    I’ll look again

    Thanks

The portfolio is limited because it’s basically a blog category with posts that are laid out in a page in columns. For something more robust though, I would definitely check out plugins for video galleries and video portfolios…I even bookmarked a couple of them to check out myself later.
