Picture size under banner

Hi,

My page width is set to default and I created a 2560px wide picture as suggested.

I added a picture right under the banner using the banner widget.

The problem is the illustration doesn’t look as it does on photoshop or ai.
It’s way too small. I tried several times to modify the sizes and see what happens but if my picture is not wide enough I see a black background appearing on both sides of my image.

Can someone please help me ?
