Portfolio error

As my website is going to be in german, I have already changed all needed in german. When it comes to Portfolio, there is a “See more…” content which I’ve been trying to modify with edit. While for the other cases helped, with Portfolio it has given the following error: “Fatal error: Call to undefined function excerpt() in /home/content/87/9843987/html/wp-content/themes/encounters/content-portfolio4.php on line 35”. I have also noticed that there are 4 portfolio contents in edit, while in the customize I have chosen, as in demo, a 3 columns portfolio. Can I have please some help?

Did you make any changes to the file(s) that resulted in that error? Also, were you trying to translate the “See More…” text? I’m assuming you are wanting a 3 column layout?

I uploaded the new updated theme and deleted the old one. I work on the Child theme anyway. I didn’t do any changes to the Portfolio files, just worked on the Editor. I don’t mind so much if the Portfolio is a four columns or a three columns one. When it was created for the first time (3 columns), it worked. In the Editor i just replaced “See more…” with “mehr lesen…” which would be the German translation. And now there is only one column displayed with the error Text.

I think I know what the problem is….I added this to my list of theme updates to do this weekend (starting today). I will have a fix for this.
