Posts issues & Images

Hello
I have just installed the Preference theme and am having two issues:

1. I have followed your instructions regarding get a static home page and then have another page for my blog, but when I published my first post, it didn’t show up on the blog page. If I have the recent post widget installed, it comes up there but not on the actual page. What could be stopping it from showing up?
2. I am also trying to setup up the home page like yours (again as per your instructions), but when I do the images, I get a single row going down the page ( I have 8 pictures), not 2 rows of four pictures.

Did you go to Settings >> Reading, and then set the two values, one for your front page and one for your blog?
For your quick gallery, you’re missing one div container that wraps the

group like this:

Well I worked out what the issue was with the posts; it was the plugin Simply Exclude. Now I don’t know if it was the actual plugin or the setup I did when setting up the portfolio page (was following your instructions)… but it is now showing. Yeah

Will keep working on the pictures as I think that this is coding on my behalf – am new to coding…

No worries… one thing I am planning to do as it appears to be working well for Encounters and the Celestial Reloaded theme is to have video tutorials. So I made plans to create videos for Preference. As for being new to coding, it can be challenging at times but it’s also an advantage when you play with it long enough. Before you know it, you will be able to start troubleshooting things.
