MemberCan you Check this code and see what I have wrong with linking the code with the pricing table? I looked the the support forums and found some old questions that people had that didn’t seem relevant the the current code, so I wasn’t sure if it was a spacing issue or if I had my link in the wrong place like someone else did.

ModeratorIt looks correct at first glance…but the question is, what problem are you experiencing?
Side note: when pasting code into the forum editor, please highlight all the code after pasting it and click on the editor button for “Code” (the icon that has a blue on it.
You might want to check out the video tutorial I recently did for Encounters and the pricing table setup. https://www.styledthemes.com/encounters-theme-setup/214-create-pricing-tables

MemberThe problem I’m having is trying to get the “sign up now” button to link to the website link that I showed you above. So if the code is correct, the button is still not working. So something is not right. I viewed the video you mentioned, but it wasn’t helpful for the part that I’m having trouble with. Filling in the table was pretty easy, it’s getting the button to link that I’m lost on. So it would be helpful to have the video show how where to insert the link (assuming that’s the part I have wrong).

ModeratorLooks like you are missing your page extension on your link. You have index but it should be index.html, index.php, etc.

MemberThe links weren’t really the biggest part of the problem but I appreciate the heads up on that. I had to get my husband to help out a bit and we got it to finally work but had to change the code from “target” to “href” to make it work. Just thought you might want to know. I’m not sure how everyone else gets it to work, this was the only way we were able to get any links to connect with the button.

ModeratorOh right…I see I need to make a little adjustment to the snippet. Sorry about that, and thanks for pointing that out. The target is for how to open the link up (new tab, window, etc) and I forgot to add the href part. I think I definitely need a vacation :S

MemberI think we all do…hope it comes quickly. btw…I hope you have some kind of marketing thing set up so I can link to you when I get my websites all set up. I definitely want to pay it forward. You have been a valuable resource for me, so I definitely want to make sure to reference your work for you. :cheer:

ModeratorThanks 🙂
As for “some kind of marketing setup”, I’m actually working on a complete new redesign of the Styled Themes website for 2014, hence my theme and website survey I am running. As for putting word out, there’s no obligation on your part, but you’re more than welcome to use social networking, link to this site, and/or write up a testimonial (I’m actually going to create a testimonials section on the new site version with the customer’s name, headshot (or logo), www address, and their testimonial).

MemberHello,
Have just walked down the same dead end road as Shawn.. and then read this thread.
So thanks to you both for helping me solve the problem of getting the button to link to my contact page, here is the code I now have, by using the combination of applying and index with a .php extension and changing target to href … job done!
As a beginner, thought an actual example of the code may help another beginner who visits later.
ps. As a learner I did not know how to understand what type of index extensions my wordpress pages are. so after a bit of googling uploaded a plugin called debug bar, its for clever developers and probably a bit of an overkill, but hey ho it told me I was using pages that have a .php extension
Thanks for the support forum.. jobs a good un
