I tried your snipped an copied it in the style.css but now I can’t even set the font to a smaller size.

Hi FSR,
Could you give the link of the site that you are working so i can figure out what went wrong with your site. To increase or decrease the size of the primary menu you should increase/decrease the font-size from the code. And to do so the best practice is to change the CSS code in child theme CSS.

Thanks.

I forgot, I’m sorry: http://fsrmed.de/

I’m using the childtheme given by styledthemes.

Hi FSR,
As i mentioned below, to change the font size you should change the font-size of

.nav-menu li a {
font-size: your font size;
}

in child CSS by defining font size. If you don’t want any changes then leave it blank. and it is working in your site too. 🙂

Thanks.

It think I found my mistake: I put your snipped below

/* banner showcase area */

and not below the very first

*/

I didn’t expect it to be a difference… But now the whole menue is grown. How can I just resize the very first level?

Ahh! Got it on my own: By using the very first code

.nav-menu li {
	font-size: 1.2em;{
