Pure & Simple Theme Customizer quit working

I have the theme Pure & Simple and my customizer in WordPress has quit working. I deactivated all the plugins one by one to see if there were issues and I did not find any.
I have also uninstalled the theme and reinstalled it and still I get the same thing. I have also checked with my hosting site and they say I have plenty of memory.

Can you please help?

We had visited your website and found that you are using obsolete version of pure simple ie 1.3.0. We request you to update to latest version 4.3.0.

Note: Please take a backup of your site before making theme update, so you can take a immediate action if disaster strikes. Moreover this will overwrite your all custom change made on theme core file.

Let us know if still you still got an issue after the theme.

Is this an additional charge? Im not seeing where I can update.

It states the following:
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Please help!
