Not sure if it is a theme question or a wordpress question but I’ll start here. When someone tries to post a comment to a blog post they have to enter their name, email and url then the comment. Is there any way to make the url box optional? Not everyone has a website and it would not allow me to post without some sort of url there.

    Thanks!

This is on the WordPress side but there’s only a couple ways (three actually) to remove it.

    1. plugin
    2. change the coding in the theme file
    3. do css to hide the field; but this will still be in the source code.

For the plugin, this might help http://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-hide-comment-url/
