    ive deleted and installed widget multiples times, tried to fix error through my FTP side, the plugin editor.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    ok that is odd behavior. The good news is that this won’t be the theme. The bad news is that this could be a number of things. Are you using any kind of SEF url rewriting plugin or anything that manages urls (permalinks)? Or did you have this site on another location and then moved it to the current location? Does this happen if you change your permalinks settings to the default setting?

    Perhaps this? 🙂

    Last resort would be to post a support question to that plugin’s page on wordpress.org and see if the developer of it might know.

    Yes i had it on http://www.fearlessdaughters.com/fearlessdm, then once i was done creating the site for most part, i moved that to main domain of http://www.fearlessdaughters.com

    I’m wondering if something is stuck in the database then that relates to when you had the plugin active there. Still, may want to contact the developer of that plugin to see if they think that could be it. Did you try the site using the default setting of permalinks to see if it self-corrects?

    Finally after hoursss I found out what the error is…

    the widget output template u give, that we copy and paste gives me the error

    the widget output template html code it comes with gives no error?? and when i click on blog posts thumbnails on rt side of blog it goes straight to the post, but not when ur html code is placed in the output section.

    First, thank you for bringing the new findings to my attention….just to confirm, is this what you pasted in:

    [code type=html4strict]

  • {THUMBNAIL}

    {TITLE}

    {DATE}{EXCERPT}

  • Technically that should work because that is the exact code I am using on the live demo site. I will have to find out if anyone else experiences what you did, and if so, I will have to update that code in the tutorial. Thanks again!

that code is not the same code, it is slightly different on the tutorial page for encounters, but that code above worked!

thank you for creating this theme!

Thanks… I will double check the tutorial and see about correcting the code, although the layout html code with the tags can be changed to one’s own layout if they prefer to create one based on the plugin’s own documentation. Mine is not a requirement 🙂

UPDATE: I just found out my content editor keeps adding a forward slash before the {PERMALINK} tag on the href….this is what was the problem, so I made a note on the tutorial to remove that / from the code. I will have to report that issue with the developer of this content editor I use in my site that it’s adding that on it’s own.
