Rename Portfolio category

    Hi there, I purchased this theme as it had a nice portfolio layout that I thought would suit the Products page on our new website. However watching the portfolio setup video it says that we have to create the category using the name ‘portfolio’? Is there a work around for this? Regards Jax

    Hi Jackie…there is, but it would require changing some code in a couple of theme files…preferably using a child theme so you can keep the theme up to date with modifications done in a child theme.

    the theme’s category.php has this line:

    that the word “portfolio” would have to be changed to yours.

    Then the theme’s single.php file:
