Andre, is there some way you could suggest to me on how to have some way people can search for a specific item on my site. I wouldn’t mind knowing how to do that on every theme, but it’s most important to me, at the moment, with the Encounters Theme.
Thanks, Ron
Not quite sure what you mean by a specific item?
It’s a site where I sell jazz CDs. The headliner is the only person whose name is on a link, and many of the people who are in the various groups playing behind the headliners are very well-known themselves. If I was on a site like this, I would do a search for a specific pianist, for example, to see if there were any recordings that he/she was on. It would be nice if there was a way I could do that on the site.
I think this is where you would use tags for your posts, pages, etc. Then use the tags widget for a search that would show any posts and pages that contains that tag word or name. There’s also search plugins you can consider using too.
Is that the widget the says “Tag Cloud?”
I know I’ve seen where to enter Tags before, but now that I want to use them, I can’t find where to enter them.
correct on the widget…tags are entered on the right side of the page or post editor window.
