Search in Header does not work

I have the search icon enabled in the header. When I hover over it the search box appears. However it disappears if I am not hovering over the icon. How can I fix this?

Oh well we don’t think there is anything to fix since that is the default behaviour of the search bar as it is built in the theme.
If you want to make a search;
1. hover over the search icon and drag over to the search bar that appears after you hover
2. click the search area and you’re done, search anything you want

Yes this is exactly what I was talking about which is the default behaviour of the theme. It is thus correctly functioning and should not be any issue for searching things.

You need to make modifications if you want to customize it of your own.
