    I’ve created a category page, but it shows full posts — while I need only a summary or excerpt to show, along with a thumbnail image if possible.

    Doing a little digging, I’ve came across the following as what seems to be a general WordPress solution:

    In either the index.php, category.php, or archives.php files, this: should be changed to this:

    Trouble is I can’t locate anywhere.

    Is there another method of accomplishing this, or anything within the Encounters theme I’m overlooking? I need to create a handful of category pages, so any help finding a solution would be most appreciated!

    Hi Russ…you are aware that splitting your post into a summary is done from the editor with the built-in “More Tag” button?
    Although this link is related to wordpress.com, it’s still the same for the standalone WordPress (which is what you have)
