Hi there,
I have just spent the day, setting up my showcase banner. I am going with the free widget kit for now. Just a question. The size of your text is much smaller (which I prefer). Your title slider heading is about 34 in height and when i copy and paste the code mine comes in at around 50.. I think I have done everything as per your tutorial but not sure what to do to make my font titles smaller?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks
Julie
Hi Julie….do you have a link I can check out and then I will see what might be happening. Thanks
You can edit the widgetkit’s style.css file for the encounters template I made for it by going here:
/wp-content/plugins/widgetkit/widgets/slideshow/styles/encounters/style.css
Make sure you make a copy though before making changes, but the bonus here is that you don’t need a child theme for this because it’s a plugin. But if anything goes wrong, you can use your backup copy to replace the code.
Okay, but what would I edit to change the font size. You set the first line as H1 and that is what I have too… If I change from h1 to something smaller the heading font colours that are set in customisation kick in….
I’ll play around with it today… But any other advice old be cool.
I also posted in another post about how the slider text on your demo site for encounters is too big… Likewise on my site… Why is this happening.. I get mine might be last in translation but your demo site too?
Thanks
Julie
Best to edit the encounters template in the plugin which is where you can manage the size of the font from there. As for my demo site, I will have to take a look at it again. Any chance you could send me a screenshot of what you see so I can compare and figure out why yours might be oversized?
I would send screen shots but can not attach using your Add File button. Does not want to co operate… 🙁
That I know… my fault. I will be rebuilding my site here soon and one of the things to fix and change is the forum functionality. You can send the screenshot to me at [email protected]
