Hello. I love your wordpress themes and appreciate the excellent support and tutorials. My daughter and sister use Preference Lite and I’ve recently purchased the Encounters Pro theme at my daughter’s suggestion. My site is http://www.karennelson.org
I’ve watched and followed your tutorials. I successfully made a contact page with a map using the banner header widget area, selecting Show on Page with slug “Contact”. However the regular header on my other pages disappeared once I had the map up on only the contact page.
I had no plans to use a static header so I activated widgetkit and made a showcase. The showcase has overridden the map in the banner on the contact page though. It seems right now I can have one or the other, but not both.
Do you have a suggestion?
The trick is to take advantage of the Dynamic Widgets plugin because WordPress doesn’t make it easy to select where to show what on what pages, etc. There’s a video to help out on how to achieve this which is being used on the demo site. The video tutorial is here:
https://www.styledthemes.com/encounters-theme-setup/133-how-to-publish-widgets-to-select-pages
I would use that actually instead of the setting in the Advanced text widget because it has more flexibility.
Thanks that worked perfectly!
