    Hi!

    I have a website http://www.nicholsandholder.com where the site title does not appear in the browser tab. I have looked at both IE and Firefox. I have another website which uses the Flat Responsive theme and it appears (http://testsubdomain.moorereflections.com).

    Hi Deronda,

    Could you please be sure of following things:

    Go to dashboard-> appearance -> customize-> site identity -> on site identity text box , check whether you have mention the text title or not? -> same to need to be followed for site tagline.

    It seems you want to place your logo rather than site title , so for this again go to

    Go to dashboard-> appearance -> customize-> site identity -> on logo style -> checked “on your logo checkbox”

    Let us know how it will goes.

    Thanks

    Thanks. I’ve rechecked that. Adding a snapshot of what I have. I can’t help but think there is something missing in the coding or css?

    This is in the child editor:

    /* snippet for contact form */
    span.wpcf7-not-valid-tip {
    display:inline-block;
    }

    #cir-ann-social-wrapper { /* hide announcement bar */
    display:none;
    }
    #cir-content-wrapper {
    padding: 0;
    }

    /* Header Fonts – changed from raleway to match logo*/
    h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6 {
    font-variant: small-caps;
    color:#ff6600;
    }
    .nav-menu .current-menu-item > a,
    .nav-menu .current-menu-ancestor > a {
    /*text-decoration: underline;*/
    font-style: normal;
    font-weight: bold;
    }

    .cir-iconbox-top.orange {
    background-color:#ff6600;
    color: #fff;
    border: none;
    }
    .cir-iconbox-top.teal{
    background-color:#7faab5;
    color: #fff;
    border: none;
    }

    We like to ask a few question regarding to your issue:
    ->Have you made any custom changes on core header.php file or any core templates?
    ->some where on header.php file of parent or child theme have you added tag or somewhere wp_title are used?<br /> -> try by deactivating plugin, sometimes plugin may create such problems. There on your site you are getting multiple title tag one is blank and another is with your site title and tagline. So browser is unable to carry second ones. see the screen shot: <a href="http://prntscr.com/an80gy" rel="nofollow">http://prntscr.com/an80gy</a></p> <p>if this steps doesn’t help you , let’s discuss on live chat so we can make our work done so quickly. As we had already try to connect you on live chat but could not get any response from your side.</p> <p>Thanks

    Hi!
    I see what you’re referring to. I haven’t updated the header.php and have looked at all the files containing ‘wp_admin’. I did early on download the custom demo files and saw in one of the XML files .., but I now deleted that file and the extra still remains.</p> <p>With the new version of the theme, I only uploaded header.php in case somehow that was the problem, but that didn’t resolve the issue. I also deactivated each plugin, deleting others that I no longer needed.</p> <p>When selecting the child theme editor, I only have the functions.php and styles.css available.

    Hi Deronda,

    Could you please provide us your wp_login details at [email protected] , so it will be easy for both of us to find the solution.

    Note: Please take a backup of your site before proceeding. Normally we use duplicator plugin to make a backup. https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/.

    Here is the video tutorials how to use duplicator and save it to your local computer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdvOGV2eIjE

    Before this you can check if any function is hooked on wp_title hook

    Thanks

    Hi Sushil,

    I just sent support login information. I installed Duplicator and archived the site. I looked up information regarding hooks…I did a search of all the files yesterday for wp_title. I didn’t see any in the child theme, and haven’t edited the parent theme functions. I’m quite sure it’s something I’ve done. but possibly when I installed the demo content.
