Sleeky Recent Portfolio Widget

I’m using the Sleeky Recent Portfolio Widget on my home page and it is squeezing the images. I’ve tried resizing the images, but nothing seems to fix it. Please help.

Attached you can see the images are being squeezed. I have tried different sizes, but they all seem to get pinched.

Please use the following css to fix your issue;

#widget_sleeky_pro_portfolio_content-5 .col-md-4 {
    padding-bottom: 25px;
}

HI Ellen,

It seems you are using higher dimension image, so it is cropped at the top. So we request you to use image of dimension less than or equal to 585×244 .

Thanks Binaya, your solution worked to make the grid spacing more even.

Sushil, the dimensions you gave me were actually what the images were to start, but you were on the right track. I changed the dimensions to 353 x 236 and that did work. I’m not sure why, because they are just smaller sizes with the same ratio, but in any case, it works!

Another question on these widgets…is there a way to control the number of characters of text that is displayed in the hover text? We need to increase the font size and that forces the text to fall off or be hidden.

I see that ‘excerpt’ is registered in the posttype-portfolio.php, and the sleeky_latest_portfolio.php file is calling the-excerpt, which should be right, but I’m not seeing it in the editor as an editable field. Something must be missing.

You can use the read more tag for control the number of characters of text. You can follow this link to use the More Tag.

It is the custom post type of Jetpack Portfolio, so you can concern to plugin author for it or for reference you can follow this link.

Is there a way to control the number of posts in the grid? I would like to display four across, eight portfolio items.
