    I updated WordPress to 3.8 and I lost the slideshow. How do I restore it?

    Actually no…just styling. So which plugin did you use for the front page, was it the Widgetkit one or another ?

    I can’t remember, but it didn’t like the upgrade. I will look for a new one.

    Didn’t you suggest one in the tutorial? Looking at the plugin I see it has a yootheme plugin.

    Then it would be the Widgetkit one. A couple things…I noticed the site is using version 2.3.3. which you may want to consider upgrading to the recent one of Celestial Reloaded 2.4.1. Also, double check that the widget that was loading the slideshow is still in the widget position it was assigned to.

    I just setup a test WordPess locally, installed Celestial Reloaded, and then put in the widgetkit (version 1.4.7) plugin, created a couple slides, and it appears to be working.

    WP 3.8 is quite different and sometimes upgrading a major WP update can do some funky things. But from what I can see on my test site, the widgetkit plugin is compatible with WP 3.8.

    You will have to use your FTP program to upload the new theme files to replace the old ones. These will overwrite the files from the previous version. Please note that when doing this, if you made any changes to any theme files, including the style.css file, they will be overwritten.

    You can download it the same way you did before. I’m assuming you kept the download link for the theme from before? Or did you sign up or upgrade to the full theme membership? If the theme membership, it’s the “Download” button on the main menu.
