Slideshow Not Visible

I created the slideshow for the front page as per the video tutorial but it doesn’t appear. I’ve gone through the sequence of steps but still can’t see why it isn’t present. The website is http://www.dnaclient.co.uk/soundsorba/ .

Did you use the Widgetkit widget (or a text widget with the slideshow’s shortcode) in the Showcase Front Page widget position ?

I used the Widgekit widget that I put in the Showcase Widget area.

Something is being missed somewhere then….if it’s possible for me to log into your admin area, I can see what is happening. Please use the Email Support form to send me a link to log in with username and password.

I logged in and everything looks as it should and I also tested some other widgets in the Showcase area. But you are right, it just doesn’t want to load up in the page. I also loaded up Widgetkit on my local test site but I cannot replicate the issue you are experiencing with a missing slideshow. I also disabled all plugins to see if there might be a conflict somewhere. However, it appears there is a problem with your install of Widgetkit, which seems to be related to your instance only. This is actually the first I’ve heard of this happening so something is unique about your setup.

Although I do not provide support for third party plugins, the only thing I can suggest at this time is to totally remove Widgetkit, then try a reinstall with a new slideshow being created and see how this second attempt goes for you.

Many thanks for checking it. I’ll do as you say and reinstall the WidgeKit (tomorrow – as Brazil just about to play Croatia!!) and see if I can get it to work. I’ll let you know how I get on. Thanks, Greg
