    With the very wide slider, I noticed that if you use the widgets only template for the homepage, the widgets seem kind of crunched together and there is a lot of space and right and left sides. I am using only the top 4 widgets. Is there somewhere in the CSS where I can adjust width of widget boxes themselves or perhaps provide more spacing between them so page can look fuller?

    unfortunately this is not possible without a lot of recoding.The theme was designed for full 100% width but the content area of the page is 1170px wide, and as for the spacing between them, this is actually part of the framework, so the spacing is not really changeable.
